serve as a role model for Chapter members, and his/her personal leadership attributes should include, but are not limited to: inspiration,
innovation, diplomacy, planning, organization, management and administration, arbitration, consensus building, and decision making.
Emergency Department Director of the Year Award

improvement in operational and clinical standards in the following area: quality patient care, operational effectiveness, education,
patient satisfaction, throughput.
In-Training Professionalism and Service Award

patient care in a professional and compassionate manner, and who has provided significant service to the Chapter or their community.
Entry Procedure
Any members may nominate a member by submitting a completed nomination form. Current members of the
GCEP Board of Directors, or current GCEP Councillors are not eligible to receive an award.
Submit the nomination form online, and then send the nominee's curriculum vitae and up to 3 letters
to Tara Morrison, GCEP Executive Director, at tara@theassociationcompany.com. Letters
of support are greatly encouraged and are at the discretion of the nominator. All entries must be submitted by the deadline for
consideration by the Awards Committee.
Judging
The Awards Committee will judge the entries, with its recommendations subject to review by the GCEP Board of Directors. The decision
of the Board is final, and the Board reserves the right to make no award if there are no nominees of sufficient merit. The award
will be presented at the GCEP Leaders and Directors Conference held in December.
