RECREATION
Golf
Hilton Head Island has long been favored as a
world class golf destination. The area's many courses feature varying
degrees of challenge, but all with the same smiling staff and southern
hospitality. Many courses wander through stands of native palmetto, lush
magnolia and pine, while others feature sweeping marsh or ocean views.
Whether you prefer friendly fairways or more challenging designs, you will
find the perfect layout for your game in the area's over 30 championship
courses.
Tennis
Hilton Head Island is a world-renowned tennis
destination, boasting over 200 courts on the island. Adjacent to the
resort, Van der Meer Tennis Center/Shipyard Racquet Club features 14
Har-Tru surfaces, 6 hard-surfaced courts, 3 covered courts and an
exceptional Pro-Shop. A full complement of programs and activities is an
ace in any tennis buff’s vacation.Visit

Beach, etc.
Voted one of America's Top 10 Beaches by the
Travel Channel, Hilton Head Island's 11 miles of coastline feature wide,
sandy beaches that are perfect for bicycling, jogging, strolling or just
building castles in the sand. We offer a wide variety of recreational
activities including boogie boards, floats, sailboats, catamarans, balloon
water bikes and beach trikes for your enjoyment.
Kids Camp
Children 3-12 years of age will delight in the
activities in store for them at Camp Castaway (seasonal) and Kid’s Evening
Adventures. Our trained and fun-loving crew members plan such activities
as trips to the waterfun park, bowling, bicycling on the beach, kayaking,
fishing, tennis and more. Rainy days never put a damper on fun at Camp
Castaway, either. Visits to the Coastal Carolina Arts Center, fire
station, arts & crafts and movies always keep spirits bright!
